 note = {This paper presents an activity to forecast weather using a computer and Geostationary Meteorology Satellite (GMS) images. Students obtained visual images and infrared images scanned by GMS from web pages and investigated the distribution of cumulonimbus and nimbostratus, which often bring precipitation, using functions of digital imaging solutions such as color balance, posterization and layer.
