Judging from the increase of females having undeveloped ovaries, D. okadai seemed to pass three or two generations in a year in Shiga Heights. D. neokadai appeared later than D. okadai in spring, so that this species seemed to pass two or three generations in a year in this area. Since only a few specimens of D. quadrisetata were collected between mid-summer and autumn, precise voltinism of this species could not be inferred from this survey. However, this species also seemed to pass two or three generations in a year in this area., Article, 信州大学教育学部附属志賀自然教育研究施設研究業績 44: 1-6(2007)}, pages = {1--6}, title = {志賀高原における水辺性ショウジョウバエの世代交代}, volume = {44}, year = {2007} }
