The chest radiograph and computed tomography showed consolidation in the right lower lung field and hilar and mediastinal lymphadenopathy. Mycobacterium tuberculosis was positive in his sputum specimen and pulmonary tuberculosis (TB)was diagnosed.Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)antibody was tested for, because of rapid progression and the radiographic appearance.HIV antibody was positive.He was successfully treated with 3TC,AZT, and protease inhibitor in addition to anti-TB drugs. We have to take the possibility of pulmonary tuberculosis and HIV infection into consideration when rapid progression and an unusual radiographic appearance are observed on the chest radiograph., Article, 信州医学雑誌 48(1): 21-25(2000)}, pages = {21--25}, title = {肺結核で発症したAcquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)の1例}, volume = {48}, year = {2000} }
