 note = {Our study aims to design a scale for self-efficacy of nursing students in terms of their relationship with patients and to examine its reliability and validity. Thirty-one items were first prepared for the design, based on our preliminary questionnaires of what student nurses consider essential for patient relationship, as well as on the previous studies about the patient-nurse relationship, Considering the deviations in responses and using factor analysis, we finally adopted 23 items that embodied three sub scales : (1)"accepting attitude″, (2) "professional attitude″, and (3) "respecting attitude″. We examined its reliability using Cronbach's alpha, and its validity by considering the consistency of General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), and Kiss-18 scales which were used to assess social ability.
