 note = {The purpose of this study was to clarify the helping behavior among elderly nursing home residents. The subjects were eighteen old persons ranged in age from sixty-eight to ninety. They responded to a semi-structured interview. All responded were coded and categorized. The results were as follows : 1. The helping behavior were classified into seven categories ; care, promotion of self-care, teaching, control, safeguard, sympathy, respect. 2. The reason and motivation for helping behavior were classified into four categories : belief, approbation, affection, role. These actions are the result of high-level-needs in Maslow's theory. From these results, it appeared that it is possible to consider not only the care receiver but also the care giver of old persons in the nursing home care., Article, 紀要 22: 71-84(1997)},
