 note = {As the society has changed, we have been focusing on fathers'role in family. The aim of this study was to clear husbands' attitude, how he accepted and coped with becoming a good father, when he knew the diagnosis of his wife's pregnancy. The employed method was the sentence completion test (SCT). 22 husbands of primigravida and 32 husbands of multigravida were investigated. 63.6% of the husbands of primigravida and 59.4% of the husbands of multigravida reported happiness When they were told the pregnancy of their wives for the first time. 13.6% of the husbands of primigravida and 12.5% of the husbands of multigravida became more cooperative. Good relationship between wife and husband and between children and his father affect to maternal images.
