Especially, low calore, low salt and high protein diet for pregnant women with EPH-gestosis (toxemic pregnancy) is recommended in Japan. In this study, actual diet intake of toxemic pregnant women and non-toxemic pregnant women were examined. Better diet for pregnancy was disscussed. 48 cases with EPH-gestosis who visited Shinshu University Hospital and were given dietary advices for EPH-gestosis were studied. As a control group, 159 normal pregnant women were also examined. Total kilocalories and nutrients between two groups were compared, researching actual daily diet of whole two days. Results were as follows : 29 cases (60.4 %) with EPH-gestosis had taken more calories than proposed level (1800kcal), while in the control group, 58 cases (36.5 %) had taken excessive calories, more than adequate kilocalories for normal pregnancy level (2150kcal). Low protein intake was observed in 30 cases (62.5 %) with EPH-gestosis, and in 78 normal cases (49.1 %). 34 cases (72.9 %) with EPH-gestosis had taken high salt diet over 7g/day, and 93 cases (58.5 %) of the control group also had taken high salt diet over 10g/day. Those results showed that acually high protein intake under low calorie diet was difficult for EPH-gestosis pregnant women. In practice of dietary therapy for pregnant women, detailed guidances and cares may be required to improve symptoms of EPH-gestosis., Article, 紀要 15(2): 13-22(1990)}, pages = {13--22}, title = {妊娠中毒症の食事指導の効果判定}, volume = {15}, year = {1990} }
