In order to assess the effect of splinting on temperature and humidity in the interstice (the space between the shock absorber and the skin), 1 gyps and 6 thermoplastic cock-up splints with a shock absorber for each, were fitted into 10 normal subjects. The thermal and humidity censor was set at two different points in the interstice : the frontal center of the forearm and the center of the palm. the successive change of temperature and humidity per minute was recorded by the micro memorycorder for 3 hours. In relation to the change, of temperature there was not a significant difference among shock absorbers in both points. However, the humidity was the highest in the PE-right (2.8mm) and lowered in the order of the cotton (0.2mm), no shock absorber, the Ortex, the leather (1. 6mm), the gyps, and the felt (3. 0mm). The humidity of the palm was 10-20% higher than the forearm. The results suggest that the shock absorver for hand splinting should be aerate and hydrophilic in quality the texture to decrease the physical uncomfortableness from perspiration., Article, 紀要 13(2): 59-63(1988)}, pages = {59--63}, title = {装具装着時の装具内における温度・湿度の継時的変化 : 装具,温度,湿度}, volume = {13}, year = {1988} }
