Post-operative chest physical therapy was given to the patients right after transfered to ICU from operation room on operation day. Physical therapy contained breathing assist with specfic techniques, such as Spring action technique and facilitation technique to diaphragm, postural drainage and ROM exercise of shoulder flexion, On operation day, physical therapy was done 4 times, 1 hour each time within about 10 hours. Results: 3 cases had mild atelectasis in small area on X-ray film temporally. All cases followed good process and returned to their home independent in ADL. ROM of shoulder flexion was improved to the range of 80-90% of the pre-operative range without pain.
