"オオルリシジミ成虫の羽化時期を予測するために必要な有効積算温度や成虫の諸形質についての定量的データを得る目的で，北御牧のオオルリシジミを守る会から提供を受けた蛹を使って，異なる温度区（15，20，25，30℃）で飼育実験を行ったものである。実験は2006年２月から５月にかけて信州大学農学部において行った。その結果，20℃以上の飼育区の羽化率は90％以上あったが，15℃では27.9％と有意に低かった。温度区を合計した雌雄の羽化率では，有意差は見られなかった。飼育温度が低くなるほど羽化日が遅くなり，15℃雌では90.0日となり30℃の約3.7倍もの発育日数（D）を要した。またいずれの温度区でも雄の方が雌より早く羽化する傾向が見られた。発育速度（1/D）と温度Tとの間の回帰直線は，雌で1/D＝0.0021T－0.0194，雄で1/D＝0.0022T－0.0192が得られ，高い相関性（雌：R2＝0.982，雄：R2＝0.981）が認められた。これより羽化までに必要な有効積算温度と発育零点は，雌では483.7日度，9.4℃，雄では459.1日度，8.8℃と推定された。雄の平均前翅長（1.84cm）は，雌（1.88cm）より有意に短かった。また平均前翅長は，雌雄ともに飼育温度が低くなるほど長くなった。羽化後５日まで飼育した個体の蔵卵数が64.6に対して，８日，10日まで飼育すると蔵卵数は平均100以上であった。",
