| 内容記述 | This study aims to reveal the plant transition zone from mountain to sub-alpine zone, and the area of distribution of plants on the Uchinokaya, Shogigashira and Nagaone courses of the Nishikoma Forests. As a result, trees representatives of montane zones, such as Fagus crenata, Qurcus mongolica var. grosseserrata and Abies homolepis were found on the Nagaone course at a maximum height above sea level of 1700m, on Shogigashira at 1750m and at Uchinokaya course at 1900m. Trees representatives of the sub-alpine zone such as Abies veitchii, Abies mariesii and Picea jezoensis were found at a minimum hight above sea level on 1650m on the Nagaone course, 1600m on the Shogigashira course and 1700m on the Uchinokaya course. The transition zone between the montane zone and sub-alpine zone on the Nagaone and Shogigashira courses is approximately between 1600m and 1750m, and this zone on the Uchinokaya course is between 1700m and 1900m. The latter transition zone is a little higher. The difference is caused probably by climatic factor, because the Nagaone and Shogigashira courses have their slopes on the north-east, while that of Uchinokaya course is on the south-east. | |||||||||
