This relay integrates the error of the line voltage to the reference, and when its integrated value reaches the normal value it changes the tap of the transformer to adjust the line voltage. The control makes the following contributions. (1) It improves the quality of the line voltage. (2) It reduces the frequency of the tap changing rationally. (3) Consequently it extends the life-time of the tap changing mechanism and other control machines. Therefore it is required to be made static, but in this case it is very difficult to obtain a long time delay and high stability. For these reasons it becomes a matter what kinds of the time-limit circuit must be employed. The static time-limit circuit can be produced with the semi-conductor or magnetic amplifier. In this paper, the time-limit relay consists of the normal type magnetic amplifier which substitutes the voltage-time integral value by the transition of magnetic level in the core. This time-limit relay has the following advantages. (1) As the semi-conductor is not used, it is stable thermally. (2) As it has no movable-element, it has long life-time characteristics. (3) As comparatively large output current can be obtained, it is fit to a relay for the power. (4) As the transition of magnetic level is used, its time-limit characteristic is very long and stable. 内容記述 As a relay to control the on-laod tap changing transformer for the voltage regulation, the integration-type voltage regulation relay has been developed in recent years.
