"近年，個人的な経験や直感ではなく，科学的・客観的な研究知見の蓄積をもとに介入を行うエビデンス（実証）に基づいた臨床心理学が盛んである．臨床心理学やカウンセリングは多くの学生が興味をもつテーマであるが，エビデンス・ベイストの考えを導入することで，臨床心理学を手掛かりに，統計的思考法，批判的思考力，自己観察のスキルなどを磨く機会になると期待できる．臨床心理学教育というと，大学院レベルでの専門職の養成に焦点がおかれる場合が多い，それに対して，筆者の所属する信州大学の人文学部では，（専門職の養成を直接には目指さない）学部レベルの教育と，教養教育レベルが中心になる．そこで，幅広い学生を対象とした一般教養レベルにおける筆者の実践を紹介したい．",
