内容記述 | A study on limnological condition and management status of inland water fishery reserves in Central Kalimantan was conducted in 1995, 1996 and 1997. The aim of the study was to elucidate the differences of general limnological condition and management status of inland water fishery reserves. Limnological condition evaluated primarily based on water quality data, such as pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, oxidative reductive potentials and others. Comparison of the management status between fishery reserves evaluated by special criteria developed for that purpose. The study was conducted in nine fishery reserves located in habitat types, i.e., Lakes Lutan, Botong-Dulan, Lapimping, Kujang, Rungun, Lagon (all Oxbow Lake Type I), Lake Rengas, Lake Limus (both Oxbow Lake Type II) and the Gulf of Telaga Bintang in the littoral zone of Lake Sembuluh. The results show that all fishery reserves are located in the blackwater inland water environment. The lowest pH average (4.21-4.82) observed in the Oxbow Lake Type II and littoral zone of lowland lake. The lowest conductivity value (0.008 mS/cm) was also observed in this habitat type but higher turbidity (97-368 NTU) was observed in Oxbow Lake Type I. Oxydative Reductive Potentials values show a reducing condition with variable dissolved oxygen level in time and place. The fish species in some of the fishery reserves dominated by the member of the family Cyprinidae. Most of the fishery reserve is badly managed, and the score achieved range from 1.00 to 1.62, which show a "Juwana Class" or initial state of management status. In Lake Botong Dulan Complex, the local Dayak costumary traditions seem capable to protect the fishes in the time of their most critical stages of life cycles. | |||||
