From the psychological point of view, I tried to study if the children suffering from the disease are inferior in arithmetic. The subjects are the fourth, the fifth and the sixth grade pupils of the elementary schools and the second and third grade pupils of the junior -high schools which are in or near Matsumoto city. The school achievement in arithmetic of the school children was obtained through the Taken analytic achievement Test, while I used the achievement of the junior-high school pupils rated by their teachers. The findings through this study may be summarized as follows: ...... 1. On the whole, children suffering from the disease are not inferior in arithmetic. 2.
