mのボーリングコアを採取した．採取した完新統試料のコア記載に基づいて堆積相を設定し，その堆積環境について考察した．同時に軟Ｘ線写真撮影，乾燥かさ密度測定，粒度分析，14C年代測定をおこない，それらを総合して，地域内の環境変遷を復元した．（1）最終氷期終了後の約1万年前からこの地域への海進が始まり，海岸線背後の後浜となる．（2）約8,000年前から海側に砂嘴などのバリアが成立，この地域は砂質潮汐平底，泥質潮汐平底となった．（3) 5,500年前の縄文期の最大海進期にはエスチュアリーが広がり，潮下帯まで深くなる．（4) 5,500年以降，海退と埋積によりエスチュアリーは縮小し塩水湿地となった．（5）約100年前に干拓により水田となった．さらに，塩水湿地の泥質堆積物に挟在するイベント堆積物は貝化石を含む砂層で，すべて海側から運搬されたと考えられる．また，級化構造，複級化成層，逆級化構造が見られる．さらに，これらのイベント砂層の一部には偽礫や礫が含まれ，斜交ラミナを伴う．砂層の堆積間隔は約600年と見積もられる．以上のことから，これらの砂層の多くは，津波堆積物である可能性が高い．",
