"アニメーション映画監督の宮崎駿の著書，関係者の発言から，宮崎駿の「黒い粉が身体から出ている」と語ったエピソードや，「怒りとともに黒いものが身体から噴出する感じ」といった情動反応を伴う特殊な身体感覚・体感体験を取り上げ，そのような体験が影響を与えたと考えられる作中のキャラクターや映像表現を指摘した。さらに，小説『ゲド戦記』が宮崎駿とその作品に与えた影響を検討し，宮崎駿が自身の体感体験を理解するために，『ゲド戦記』の思想を自らの精神的支柱にしたものと考えた。また精神医学における体感異常症を概説し，それらと宮崎駿の体感体験との異同，宮崎駿の体感体験と創造性との関連性について考察した。宮崎駿の身体感覚は，何らかの異物が身体内部から外部に出ていくという形で体験されるものである。この内的体験を外在化して具象化し，形を与えていくという能力は，創作者としての創造性にも大きな影響を与えた可能性がある。",
