"本研究は、非教師の日本語母語話者への調査で収集した類義語分析記述から、対比によって類義語対の特徴を明らかにする分析方法の実態を探った。類義語対「疲れる／くたびれる」の対比的分析では、両動詞が表す疲労状態という意味を中心に多面的に意味特徴が分析されるほか、用法面に焦点化した対比も見られた。一方、対比の手続きは、類義語対の共有特徴について程度差を探る「ものさし型」と、ある言語特徴の下位的な側面から類義語対の相違点を探る「スポットライト型」に大別できる。これらの手続きは、対比的分析で明らかにされる言語特徴と相互に関係し合う。また、程度差を強調するものさし型の対比は手続きとして容易だが表面的な分析となりうる一方、スポットライト型の対比では類義語対の弁別的特徴を示唆する分析が見られ、類義語分析に資する可能性がより高いといえる。",
