第1に韓国人と日本人の大学生がお互いにどのような集団印象を形成しているかについて記述的分析を行うことを, 第2に韓国人と日本人が在日コリアンについてどのような印象を形成しているかを明らかにすることを目的とする。韓国人評定者と日本人評定者の印象評定について, 自民族の印象評定と, 他民族成員による印象評定との間に大きな差異が認められた。またそれぞれの集団印象として互いの評定が共通しているのは, 日本人よりも韓国人のほうが積極的であり, 韓国人よりも日本人のほうが礼儀正しい, という2点のみであり, 両集団の「国民性」として, 世俗的によく知られている特徴に一致しているといえる。好悪評定と印象評定の関係については, 日本人評定者の印象評定が好悪評定を規定しているのに対して, 韓国人評定者の印象評定は, 好悪評定の重要な規定因とはなっていなかった。韓国人評定者と日本人評定者は,
