His OT progress was divided into four separate terms following his developmental change. In the first term, the principal objective of OT was to establish a stable relationship between the child and the occupational therapist. In the second term it was to promote his gross motor development. Third term OT serevices promoted his cognitive development ; and in the last term the occupational therapist tried to reduce his problem behaviors. It was concluded that in OT for a child with hemiplegia the following are important : 1) bimanual activities during play are effective in the treatment of the affected side\u0027s upper extremity, and 2) occupational therapists have to pay attention to the child\u0027s problem behaviors.
