| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to clarify Quality of life (QOL) in patients with intractable diseases living at home. We examined life satisfaction and social supports in 71 patients attending the neurology clinic of Shinshu University Hospital. Satisfactory points of six categories were utilized for QOL measurement, and social supports were measured by the amount of emotional and instrumental supports of three categories respectively. Relationship between satisfactory points and social supports was analyzed with the following results. 1. The satisfactory points was the highest in the category of friendly relationship. 2. They had many social supports, and were supported emotionally by their friends mainly and instrumentally by their relatives, friends and neighbors. But they needed more supports to improve their QOL. 3. There were significant relationships between the satisfactory points and social support, especially the emotional supports. These results suggested that the emotional supports were more important than instrumental supports. | |||||||||||
