| 内容記述 | A mail questionnaire survey was given to 129 subjects who had participated in four days intensive seminar for mother and handicapped preschool children from April 1984 to December 1988. The questionnaire was composed of three areas of multiple choice answers: the purpose of attending the seminar, main concerns for child rearing, and the level of satisfaction from the seminar. 65 were available for the purpose of this study six were returned because of wrong forwarding addresses. The findings were as follows; 1. Age of handicapped children ranged from two to six. 2. Of 65 handicapped children, 47 (72%) were mentally retarded and 10 (15%) were physically disabled. 3. 0f seven listed purposes of attending seminar, 60 (92%) mothers selected “to learn how to improve the child's ability to speak and to play with the same age group” , 35 (54%) selected “to reduce her own anxiety for child rearing”, and 25 (39%) selected “to exchange informations among participants”. 4. The highest level of satisfaction was found among the participants of the later seminars where the occupational therapist focused on the emotional support for the mothers' anxiety for child rearing. 5. From these results, we think that psychological aids for mothers' anxiety and technical advices to disability of children should be included in the future seminar program. | |||||||||||
