| 内容記述 | An experience of occupational therapy for two young adult schizophrenic patients has been described and discussed in terms of therapeutic structures. As to the occupational therapy process for the acute stage of a newly admitted schizophrenic young adult, the following considerations are recommended to be given : (1)To the process of attaining the mutual agreement of time scheduling (when, how often, how long, reasons for a change, etc.). (2)To the therapeutic structures of occupational therapy and its possible stressful influence to a newly admitted patient. Various experiences in occupational therapy may induce a typical adaptation process which reflects the uniqueness of each individual schizophrenic patient faced with the new situations to be integrated. (3)To a selecting process of activities as well as to the level of instructions, so that the functional and motive levels may well be matched to the changing states of an individual patient. Then, it may become possible for the patient to be involved with an activity even though he or she appears to be rather restless and confused on the ward. (4)To develop the stability of the patient-therapist relationship and the positive experience of occupational therapy before any realistic rehabilitation and/or re-socialization process can be undertaken. | |||||||||||
