"目的:わが国の自殺をめぐる状況は、10年連続で3万人を超え、長野県でも毎年500人前後の人が自殺している。これまで、その背景をさぐる分析は長野県では行われていない。そこで長野県警察の協力を得て、平成19年の県内の自殺者の傾向を分析することを目的とした。方法:平成19年に警察庁が発表した「平成19年中における自殺の概要について」とともに、長野県警察から長野県内分のデータの提供を今回初めて受けた。長野県の自殺者の傾向を年齢別、原因別、職業別等から分析した。結果・考察:近年の自殺者数は2年連続で減少し、平成19年は全国で9番目に低い自殺率となっている。男性が、全国では全体の70.9% を占め、長野県でも367人で全体の69%を占めている。年代別の自殺者数でも男女共に全国と同様の傾向がうかがえた。自殺の原因別では、どの世代でも健康問題が1番に上がっているが、健康問題の詳細では、55歳以下の世代では精神科領域の病気が、65歳以上では身体疾患が多くを占めていた。青年層、働き盛り、高齢者等ライフサイクルを考慮した自殺対策が求められている。",
